On 29th of March, at the new facilities of AluGroup in Elche (Alicante), we received the visit of EU EASME Project Adviser Piedad Rivas.
AluGroup, as project coordinator, explained the work done during the first four months of our project, specially focused on WP1: this WP represents a key period of the project, as their results should pave the way to the critical development that should be done in WP2, the myShopNET platform. The Project Adviser could also see working prototypes and examples of several of the project tools, like AluGroup’s footwear co-designer, Bivolino’s sizing tool and Change’s virtual visualization of fabrics.
During the evening we had the opportunity to discuss with the EU EASME Project Adviser our vision for the myShopNET platform as a tool that should be not only a solution for the project partners but also a huge opportunity to increase momentum at the customizable consumer goods sector, as an easy to use tool which will allow European designers, manufacturers and distributors of customizable consumer goods to open Internet e-shops for any kind of products, not only footwear and clothing, but also glasses, bags, toys, furniture, etc.
Very soon, at this web-page, we expect to show you some very nice (and surprising!) examples of these other products that can benefit from the results of project myShopNET.
